My warning Lights acting funny

I was driving down the road and noticed my warning lights to all light up in a weird fashion one after the other from fuel, to washer, to brake, door open, hatch open, etc etc all one by one. So I took out the module and turns out the contacts not good anymore and are actually broken... (how the hell dat happen?) anyways, so i picked up a module off a friend except his is off a newer gxl model and it lights up not only better, but reads different, and lights up different. So if I am low on fuel, its telling me I have a door open and if I have a door open, its telling me I have a brake on etc. So I was wondering if to fix this, do I need to just switch pins on the harness? My 7 is an S4 and I take it this module is for an S5 so can it be done? I hella like the S5 module more lol has a nice look. Thanx

Also, on my old module the washer light would always turn on when I take a corner too tight or just going up into a parking lot. Why is that?

S4 ande S5 models are not interchangeble. You need to keep the same series.

I also have most of the Clock warning panels already rebuilt and for sale on my website.

And if all the lights are popping on with the correct series clock/warning panel in, there is a good chance the alt is failing.

Not interchangeable huh? why is that? Its not computer controlled is it? So Im wondering if each pin just send power to each individual light? or does the chip inside the module do the work? Im about ready to tear it apart. Also, The buzzer in the dash, is there a way to shut that MF up? or how or when is it supposed to work? Sometimes it works, other times it doesnt. My bro n cuz love to hear it buzz so Im wondering is there a way to make it buzz b4 starting the car?

because it is wired different, and has different functions.

For example the S5 one has the alternator fail circuit/controller in the clock/warning panel while the S4 one has it in the CPU.

And the S5 clock warning panel has the Check engine circuit from the ECU, something that the S4 does not.

And the S4 panel has the brake light failure control in the CPU that then feeds the clock warning panel. The S5 models don't have a brake light failure circuit.

Two different buggers. Why in the world would you think they are the same. The indicators are not even the same.

parts of it is, see above.

again see above. In some cases it is just a simple light. In other cases it is a whole circuit/controller.

Im about ready to tear it apart.
Okay... I am sure that would be productive in getting it fixed. Take apart something you don't understand, and have not even downloaded or looked at the schematics of the car on...

There are two buzzers, and depending on the model, also beeps.

There is a buzzer in the dash behind the gauges that indicates low oil, low coolant and over rev (exceeding redline).

There is the Door Open buzzer, Lights on buzzer in the drivers kick panel.

Then there are beeps for the power steering computer (1-5 beeps depending on the problem).

And then there are beep for the soft top operation on convertibles.

If it is very loud chances are it is the dash buzzer, and it is telling you your car is about to die, so FIX THE CAR. Put oil in it (you do know you are supposed to check the oil every fill up of the gas tank right?), or you need to bleed the coolant system, or stop redlining the car.

YOU don't remove the buzzer, YOU FIX THE CAR
