Is my timing mark pin bent?

This post sounds pointless, but I couldn't find a pic for comparison.

I was doing some routine under-hood prodding and noticed the timing marker pin(correct term?) looked bent.
I couldn't remember if it has been like that? Check the first pic, the second kind of sucks.

Using care, you MIGHT be able to take a pair of pliers and clamp down on it to straighten it out a bit.

Yes, they bend easily.
Snapping belts can whip around and bent that piece of wire.
You should be able to bend it back with a pair of pliers...carefully.
Don't be surprised of it rotates - that's normal.

Even though it's bent, it looks like the tip of the pin is coincident with the base of the pin, and so I would leave well enough alone.
