--3" turbo back single exaust exaust W/ HKS titanium muffler
-removed all motors exterior unecessary grime!
-removed under pan and fender liners

-removed driver side muffler heat shield
-lighter than stock Racing Hart wheels
-98+ Integra taillights(lighter-so sue me!)
-removed antenna and motor
-removed carpet and foam
-removed ALL sound deadoning "cement!"
-bare metal with one coat of gunmetal paint interior

I think thats it. Damn good list huh!? What do you guys think it weighs now? Note that I weigh 137lbs. Did I miss any unnecessary weight(not including heat)? To me it still drives and looks better than mint stock, I love race car looking cars and my FC daily driving race car! Any comments, ideas, suggestions? Skinny FC huh?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

Go get it weighed and let us know how light it is. You can remove the rear bumper support too prolly(never actually took the cover off but I assume theres stuff to be cut away). Other than that it seems like you got everything. I mean even you're skinny, lol. Take a **** before each ride

Ill take a leak, and ditch all the change in my pockets too! The reason I left the rear bumper is becuase the fuel tank is right behind it-I am not THAT hardcore!

How much did you add back in for the bondo and/or sheetmetal you had to use to fill in the rear taillight spaces to fit those teg lights?

And do you actually think removing the underbelly pan a) saves *any* weight or b) lets your car stay as cool as it used to?

About 1.5lbs in sheetmetal and about .5lbs in filler. And for the underbelly pan-nothing weighs a lot, its all the little stuff. The underpan has been replaced with carbon fiber. Thanx for your input you been a great help-*****

yeah get a light aluminum flywheel, maybe a driveshaft (I think it's aluminum already though).

Get fiberglass fenders/bumpers, and maybe a fiberglass or carbon fiber hood.

Change the motor mounts to aluminum?

Change any undercarriage bracing to aluminum?

Get rid of the stock gas tank and put in a rotary molded 8-gallon fuel cell.

I'm sure there's others..

Yo,

Sounds like you're going hardcore...but are you going to put all that stereo/Playstation stuff back in? It would kind of defeat the purpose if you put a whole bunch of subwoofers back into your stripped car.

You should look into getting a rollcage and some 4 point harnesses. That is, if you're going for the "race car driven on the street" theme.

Any pics?

8 gallon fuel cell? He'll be getting gas every ten minutes!

Also, 4 point harness suck, you can submarine right out from under them. It's really not safe. 5-point is the way to go.

Yo,

Gene, unless you get the Schroth Rallye 4 with ASM(tm).

http://www.schroth.com/products_en/asm.htm

I'm running the Rallye 4's in my Scirocco.

agreed, although i have no argument that it is alot of the little things that pay off in the long run. i still don't think it's worth it, just for some tail lights, it's kinda like, there will be this strange disease that will emit from them and spread all over your car and behind the tracks of the infection there will be apc stickers and pepboyz rims, please tell me that there the stock ones and not altezas, i think that for a nice set of s5 tails, the weight is well worth it...
