I salute you 1987RX7guy, for being accountable and apologizing.

I also salute to that piece of booty in your avatar.

And diyman25, I saw your ride at D1 but the hood was down. Damn!

Well lets compare what you said to his car. You said you have a base(there is nothing wrong with it to begin with so don't feel bad) You have larger wheels 17? 18?
You have a stand alone. I also assume intake eaxhaust and the standard mods we all do right? Although your not a RACE car unless you have some flashy looking body kit and CF parts purposly left bare for "looks" a roll cage that is going to weigh down a mildly modded N/a a Good RACE seat and a large wing you don't really have mush of a problem. Looking nice is one thing. But trying to look like a 2003 model car is just stupid.(I think this comes from people wanting new cars but not being able to afford them) If you have an 80's car you can't get out of that although you cam clean it up a bit with nice paint and some stylish wheels but going all out on a stock car for "show" is stupid since you could build a serious race car like the thread starter did and then spend cash on body mods that not only look good but add to actuall performance.

In any case the fact that the car has a purpose(RACING) negates my ricer comment since the parts he has on it (which on a stock and street driven car would be pointless) are there for their original purpose.

Nice, I'm guessing it's a road racer and not a drifter?

Damn, in that first pic that thing looks just plain damn grimacing. Evil, evil, evil. I like it! The wing is actually put to use. LIKE IT SHOULD BE! Honda lovers take note.

you were just dissin base NAs with big wheels just defending us

my wheels are 17" Volk CV Pro, Microtech, header/exhaust, blitz filter......yadda yadda. I would be typing for 30 min if i listed all the mods. OH, and the hood is just for weight, not trying to look like a turbo.

What type of license plate is that? I would like to know, because it would be much easier for me to drive my track-only car to the event and no have it transported. Does it allow you to drive it on the streets? I live in CA too, what do I do? :-)

Hey man, I talked to you at D1! Your car is awesome!! Too bad I didn't get to hear it when you were leaving.

As for people hating on cars with big wings and the such, I personally think they are just afraid of themselves being viewed as ricers. Some people are so afraid of what others think of themselves that they can't live their lives how they want. I pity them.
