Hey I just joined today guys and i was wondering if anyone could enlighten me a little bit about some issues my car had.


Went to pick up an FC yesterday (87 with 89 TII swap) and the thing is damn beautiful. 1700$ and ecstatic about it.

but, it has to be towed to Columbia, SC from Atlanta because the car is acting up. I'm completely new to rotaries so i was wondering if anyone could help me out any.

First off i had to crank the hell out of it and mess with the gas pedal to get it started(And mess with a fuel switch), but if you let the rpms go down without gassing it, the rpms just go to 0 and it shuts off.

Also, for the 10 miles i was able to drive it from the guys house, there was a popping sound constantly coming fro the rear part of my car, possibly drivetrain? But it only pops when i let off the clutch kinda fast and it slightly pops when turning.

Any help would be appreciated.
