with a motor like that you can run 18's no problem....do it mayn! I wish my FC drifter was coming along with that much power but NA for me right now. Hopefully we do get an event soon and I can see this thing run in person. Goodjob man

How did you go about doing the seam welding? Did you put it on some sort of body jig??

we just measured the frame to make sure it's cool, then alternated sides doing the welding so it didn't get too hot and warp. seems like that worked ok.

anyway, i got some more pics uploaded.

picked up a 12 ton press and some bushing drivers from harbor freight



to press in all the bushings.




i highly recommend getting a press. it's a gazillion times easier than a puller or vice. only $110 too. if you're gonna work on bushings more than twice, it'll pay for itself easy. and you can take it apart for storage when you don't need it.

I got my tranny jack from harbor freight for like $50, saved me alot of grief twice now . . .

nah, $110 for just the press. you can get it for $80 if you order from the internet, but HF is about 5 minutes from my house

the small driver set was $10 and the big one was $40. the big one is unusually high quality for HF stuff too.

I got the same press when I did my bushings, still going strong. Where get those bushing driver sets??
