My poor autobox commited hara-kiri. Anybody got another one?
Good Morning. My name is Michael.
I own a black on black 1990 Mazda RX-7 GTU with an automatic transmission. Unfortunately, I have just discovered that the gearbox is eating itself for breakfast!
Does anybody out there have a good condition automatic transmission for sale? Failing that, has anyone here sucessfully completed the auto to manual transmission conversion? If so, I would like, pay money and stuff for someone to do it to my car.
Please help.

Many many of us have done the swap
Rather easy, if you need parts, contact hypntyz7 (http://www.rotaryresurrection.com) he usually has enough spare stuff laying around to do a conversion. Btw, welcome to the forum

Oh, here's a Write-Up of how to do the conversion, http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/5speed.html if you have any questions, just ask, I've done it myself.
Ah! Much appreciated. As far as I can tell it looks relatively straight forward, the only fabricated part being the adaptor for the trans mount. Does anybody make this adaptor or another adaptor that will work?

Not that i know of. In the not so recent past there was a thread containing a complete howto that had pictures of the brackets, pretty easy to make.
