I picked it up today and Its GREAT its like driving a whole diferant car then my N/A.... Iv only drivin it a couple times now and already love it!!!! The guy I bought it from has a couple Rx-7's hes a mechanic and specializes in rx7's and races them. He said they do a stage one mod witch includes full exhaust, Bigger injectors and fuel cutoff for $2,000 and he said it will give me about 100 more hp and ill run in the 13's.... does that sound accurate and a good price??? (i dont have the money to do it....but maybe one day)
Thats all installed for $2,000

FCD is about $50-100, depending upon where you aim for your deals. You can make your own full exhaust setup for less than $500 (but then you'll have some excessive noise) Larger injectors are about $100-$200, but it's a bad idea with nothing to control it (s-afc or similar) which is another $150-$300. Plus you'll need a boost controller to make all the new stuff worthwhile, $50-100

you really want to try to prevent from blowing your motor...
Get one of these puppies....

then get a fcd and a fuel controller of some sort. that would be a good start. also, that would prevent you from having to buy like, 3 different gauges. it should save you quite a bit in the long run. But, i am sure one of the older forum members probly has more sound advice! I am just starting to heavily mod out my 88 turbo II. right now im getting a remapped ecu, (rtek7 ver. 1.7 anyone have any experience with these?), compatible fuel injectors, the wideband o2 kit with lcd, egt sensor shortly afterwards, and a field sfc hyper R (due to the fact that you can store 3 different types of fuel curves). i already have a full dual exhaust (3"dp to dual 2.5" inlets) with no cats and a stage 1 clutch from centerforce. should be rather fun afterwards!!! i just got my baby running a couple of months ago. spent one year restoring her. very nice indeed. plus there arent too many rex's running around in tulsa, so alot of honda boys turn their heads and goggily-gook all the time. its nice knowing that i have an ORIGINAL styled import!!! welcome to the club of turbo rex's!

ok the first day i had it didnt get on it much...I did tonight and i loved it!!! but there might be a problem sometimes in first and second gear right after 6,000RPM's, when im getting on it, it kinnda bogs down a lil then i shift and it sits me back in the seat. Other times it goes geat and i shift at the buzzer right at 7,000RPM's. Is this normal or is something wrong????
