It'd go for more than that here.

Those rims are ~$450 each, not to mention Bride seats that are ~$700 each.

The low milage alone makes the car worth that much.

Wow, shows how cheap I am.....

Well maybe just poor

But I've seen an import company that brings J-spec cars to the west coast of canada, and I swear I saw a car just like that one for like 5-6 thousand, but that's not that much of a difference.

Yea you dont know whats wrong with them aye, 5-6k american is pretty bloody cheap for a turbo rx7. Over here the median rate for a bog stock 88 rx7 is about 12-13 thousand aussie, probably 9 or 10 american??? So i made a significant saving, getting an 89 series 5, with substational mods for my price...

Sorry guys NO idea of the paint codes! Im sure mazda would be able to help you.. Make sure you all stay tuned, becuase next week the car gets delivered to storage yard and i get more pics, interior etc and better quality...
Neofreak you were close with ure guesstimates, to buy my brides here, you wouldnt be getting much change out of 4000 aussie dollars, thats not including rails =)

Well, I actually buy brand name stuff so I should know.. =)

I'm actually in the market for a set of Advan rims at the moment.. but I keep changing my mind.. I'm too picky.

I wish I could get a deal like that here.

yea, i've been looking actively for 5 years, flown to MN, TX, and Southern CA several times, and most are beat to hell even if their owners claimed otherwise.

I did luck out though, and I paid quite a bit cuz I'm tired of looking for others, but if they do come along I'll buy more. Besides, there are probably no more than a dozen or two that are this tastefully modified in the country.

What exactly do you mean by "car specific?"
Do you mean engineered specifically for the FC? I don't get it. How is that possible?

BTW, what kind of rims are those EXACTLY? Which model of Advans?

thanks everyone for the awesome comments..
When i say car specific, i mean 2 things really, firstly you have companies like re-amemiya who make and test products specifically for RX7s, and then, i mean car specific as in japanese cars in general, companies like GREDDY, HKS, APEX'i, etc etc all have specific testing conditions and have been doing this a lot longer. I think you may pay extra, but at least the product is quality.

Im not sure about the advan thing, i was told AVS, is AVS an offshoot of advan? not really familliar, but yeah when it gets here i wanna sell im, dunno about sshipping overseas tho!!!
Feastonrsex, Ill post them up in a new thread in 2nd gen specific mid next week, so stay tuned and you'll get interior, exterior and engine in higher resolution!
Cheers all

Ya we get gunmetal here. Mine's that colour -- I was thinking of changing to a green or something, but these pics have me thinking I should keep it.

Amazing lookin' car -- friggin beautiful man! A good buy.
