My new car.

Hrm, I was a bit lazy on this. Or maybe not, I dunno... I finally got a T2.... Need to post up the pics of it. Right now it's at a friend's house waiting on a rebuild and some stuff... But I'm glad to have the car after trying to get one and being repeatedly screwed out of deals one way or another for the past ~7 months.

I'd post the pics up here, but I've already got them somewhere, so I'll just be lazy and link it here.

Been waiting a long time to be able to make the post about my RX7, hahaha. I'll bump this thread in the future when I get the car back and can get pics of it being fully together.

Yes indeed.. Stole one stock wheel.. No clue why. What an idiot. Oh well, at least I only have to replace one And yes, the spare tire looks so bad on it. That's why I when I was making an avatar, I didn't look at a single pic from the driver's side, heh.

man that engine bay is going to be nice and clean very cool. That really puts into perspective how relatively simple these cars are!

Oh yeah, best deal I've had yet I guess

Eh, T2s only had spoilers in 88 and later I think.

Well... Rebuild kit arrived today If my other car wasn't down at the moment, I'd have deposited a check I've been meaning to for a while, and made sure I had the money in checking to order a new clutch....

Anyone have any idea about what to do about the whiteness in the black part of the brake lights?

Ah hah, thanks a lot deltr0n. Would I have to repaint it black after sanding it down or something?

Bringing this thread back as I once said I would.... I took these pics over winter break.... And got them on the computer at the beginning of the week... So here's the car with the engine in it, and washed.

Yes, I know the driver's front tire is polished instead of painted like the rest, and the spokes are facing the wrong direction. Only 2 of the tires I got from my friend had good tread on them..... I was too lazy to put the other one, which was the right one on when I got home. I'll do that.......sometime.

Yes, I got a bit picture happy. I'd have a website with bigger slightly better quality pics like last time, but my server seems to be down...... And has been for the past day. WOndering if my host just let it die or if it's really messing up... Oh well, was gonna get my own around this time anyway.

sweet dude, I'm sure your gonna do something about that brown interior. Other than the interior that cars is a fine example of a "clean" car.

By brown interior, do you mean the interior's color? Or?

Anyway... Back to that question about the brake lights and all... I was wondering.... Would it be as simple as sanding off the areas with white... And the white would then be gone leaving black? And then putting some clearcoat back over it? Or would I have to repaint after sanding lots.... Or? COurse, you can't really notice the white when the lights were wet.. I made sure to get the pics quickly after spraying the car off, heh.

personally I would paint it with a clear coat, you want to just get rid of the old clearcoat, sand it down with very fine sandpaper, maybe even a wetsand...clean it off really good with some sort of solvent, and then spray it.

Funny, I was going to say something about the brown EXterior. I hate '80s champagne gold. But seriously, That's a great looking find. How's it running with the rebuild?

Running great. Excellent compression. I haven't actually had the compression checked, but I've had no problems flooding at all. And I've stalled it a time or two... Started right back up afterwards pretty much. I've got over 600miles right now, but been kind of busy with getting back into the college flow... or whatever.

Oh yes, and interestingly enough... A good while back I didn't like gold cars and stuff, didn't want to get one if I could avoid it... But this one in person looks fine. It doesn't seem to bug me like the other cars. Though I'm thinking if it was like an S5 and had matching trim color.. Maybe it would then. Not sure though. But I'm pretty happy with the color of it actually

Looks awesome, Tyler! I can't wait to see it at a meet! I'm glad you finally got one. Time for the Lowe's Motorsports BOV mod.

BTW, let me know when you decide to upgrade those wheels to some 5Zigens. LOL. I'll hook you up!

I still want one of those electronic BOVs for my Honda I'd drive around doing it like 500 times and only at inappropriate times. Fun times....
