Alot of the turbo "kits" for civic use incredably small turbos (T-28 or so ) which run out of breath fast and dont produce too much boost. A friend of mine has a SOHC Del sol, with a supercharger pushing 6psi, and pretty much every bolt on he can get, and the general concensus is that is is only slighly faster than my stock port N/A.

A guy in my car club runs consistent 14.3's with his DX hatch using a home made t-25 kit and 8psi. I've never ran against him on the road but look forward to it this spring.

Most people who put a turbo on their car though are usually into going fast and have more goodies. But just because a car has a turbo doesnt make it fast, especially if its a small honda engine running 5-6psi.

I heard it spool and surge when he shifted. I didnt beat him either. I could just keep up. I think its pathetic that I could, on his part. I really expected to get my *** handed to me. WE were rollin at about 60. So it was all top end. I guess my car pulls well up to 125ish. Too scared to get movin much faster on the street.

Ouch. Hehe. That was a low blow.

There aren't that many fast honda's around, but now and then...

2 Civics in my town that are over 300 whp. One at 330 one at 425. Both are street driven. Both run at least low 12's...

Yeah and there's gonna be a few more this year?

Just so you guys know a base model civic will kick an N/A's *** anyday of the week. I don't see what all this hiss is about "honda's are slow"

the truth is FC's are slower. And I'll prove it to anyone local that wants to go. My 94 N/A civic dx against your N/A 7. I frankly don't care how modded it is either I'll still bet on it.

As for you turbo boys hey even evil I'll line you up with an N/A CRX and guarantee your gonna get OWNED BAD and I'm aware your pumping 300 whp.

These are the facts sorry boys. base civic runs 15.8 vs the 7 which is 16.3. The vtec's are 15 flat and the swaps 14 flat - 12.5 N/A

lets line em up boys.

Ya lets go, my n/a Vs. your Civic. First at drag, then at autocross.
Base civics dont run 15.8, new Sis arent even that fast. The last gen. Sis ran 15.75s so I know those base models dont run no 15.8. Ive personally seen Hondas with swaps running low 15s, high 14s.

BTW I dropped almost 1 sec off my 1/4 mile with $500.

rofl bdott311 that bs flag is hilarious nice lil flash/html
civics should be chic cars, because most girls that drive them are usually attractive and most guys that drive them are usually not. The civics I see cruising through NC have loud tips, maybe just maybe a muffler to boot, shitty wheels, and stickers out the ***, but i cant speak for all, my possible girlfriend dries a 2003 civic and its sexky

Haha your fooling yourself. Yes a base model civ above 93 wil run 15.8.

And looking at your sig my civic is going to beat you pretty bad!! If a 15.3 is all yuo can bring **** I'd be wasting my time. Don't know if your local or not but if so first cruize I'll bring it.

B16a2 on a p72 ecu may only run a low 15-high 14. But thats a useless swap.

Why is it that the RX-7 guys are the most ignorant in the import scene?

My DX is good for a very low 14 on a crappy day with street tires.

So I mean f you wanna go put your money where your mouth is and we'll see you at the Ottawa meet.

Swaps being crx's with LS motors???

A friend of mine has dyno'd his crx with an N/A 11:1 LS/V-tech @206whp and he's afraid of me in a straight line... And that is with my car not getting traction. One ride with me made him pissed/depressed that he spent 5K on that engine swap.

There's a non-vtech LS crx another buddy has who runs a 16.1 all day long. LS integ turbo at 6psi's still are only good for 15.1 (with an experienced driver).

I'll gladly line up with any stock n/a honda and race for slips. Even an S2000 doesn't scare me.

Also, You say any you can beat any n/a with your little 94 civic dx. Wanna run against Padilla then? He's all motor.

Chris, I don't doubt that there are tons of cars faster than mine, but I'm guessing this CRX would have to have some sort of engine swap and some serious nitrous to do that, no?

Don't know much about the Honda scene here, but I know that Tapp's and Kenny's civics make major power, anyways...

The CRX is N/A and a good match for Kenny. My buddy Alex just completed it.

Its an 89 CRX with a CRvtec motor. B20 bottom end b16 head. So a 2.0l vtec with extremely high compression. It'll be good for some mid to low 12's easily.

Tapp and kenny have sweet rides!!!! have you gone in the spoolin civic with kenny yet? Its great fun I think 12.4 is his best to date.

Anyhow The only point I was trying to make here is about how ignorant you guys are towards other cars.

My 90 ran a 14.2 non turbo with a bit of juice at 96 mph

The CRX guys here are in the 12.7 range running the crvtec swap.

Look I don't want to get into a huge argument but don't be so cocky boys. Theose in Ottawa are gonna see a few of the sleepers around on the 10th as I promised.

On another note I would dith my FC for an 88 323 gtx anyday

Sleeper cars are great, but there is something to be said about having a great looking car that's decently fast too...

...your FC is much nicer than any 323 box, lol
