My mountain bike accelerates faster than my FC

HELP
So my car w/ mods listed below is still slower than my old 86 NA was. The problem is similar to the one in this thread https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=173848
I’ve tried almost everything in the thread and can’t fix it.
The turbo spools like a ****.
The BOV releases plenty of pressure.
At this point it makes no sense to go above 3K RPMs because there’s ABSOLUTELY NO increased power beyond that point.
And sometimes, if I accelerate faster than that, I get a cloud of blue smoke behind me(but i haven't determined whether that is coming from the exhaust or under the hood where i have a small oil leak)
To me, it seems like the boost (compressed air) isn’t making it to the rotors (IE leak in the intake) or its too much boost (leaking on the side seals of the rotors)
I did a compression check.(close to 90s on both rotors and when releasing the pressure release valve, the compression peaks at 91)
I checked everything on the intake for leaks except the IC.
This is SERIOUSLY getting discouraging.
Any help/advise/ideas would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks
- Jake

Oh yeah, I change my oil every 1800-2000 mi and it is always dark, dark brown and smells of gas..... if that's relevant.

Blue smoke means you are burning oil probably from the turbocharger cooling system. Your turbo might need to be rebuilt. I would search for blue smoke or turbo rebuild before trusting my advice though. I am pretty sure, but not positive. Don't go rebuilding turbos on my avice if there's nothing wrong.

Could have a fried turbo, or your lines could be loose so that they blow off boost yet seal during vacuum.

I'd automatically think vacuum leaks.

hows your idle?

do you have an aftermarket boost gauge?

Ever take into consideration the possibility of the cat(s) being clogged? It would totally kill the top end of the car.

Edit: I see you have an exhaust....I guess if that cuts out the cats, then my theory is out.

Idle's low at times. It tries to stall occasionally when I push in the clutch.
The car has a miss thats noticable at idle or long periods of acceleration.

It's just one problem after another, guys.

oh, and no, I don't have an aftermarket boost guage yet.
And yes the RB turbo-back doesn't have any cats.

id get an aftermarget boost gauge just to make sure that you are making boost?

and sounds like a vac leake to me but when i had mne i had a horrible idel usually wouldnt start

but if it didi and i took it out it wouldnt go intot boost unless i had a lot of room and was on it for like a min a least then it would slowly climb into boost

if you just going by the BOV sound thats not going to tell you much my BOV (HKS) goes off even if i let off the throtale and im not in boost

if this happened shoryl after installing your BOV check to make sure thats not leaking my bet would be it is

I really doubt I have a vac leak, but its worth checking.
And I suppose I'll add an aftermarked boost guage to the list. Any recommendations?

Is it possible that my IC is leaking the boost or that the side-seals on the rotors are leaking?(given the symtoms above)

sounds like

Sounds like a bad motor. I would get a compression test done. If the turbo is good and it still runs like *** oil is always nasty could have a blown motor.

how are the injectors? up until a while ago my **** was fucked. I thought the motor was gone, cuz it seamed like i was one rotoring it (which i was) Then i noticed the genius before me had bad injectors, and had ******* did the resistor pack all wierd so i was running wut had seamed to be high and low impedence at once. I tested the injectors and found out that only one primary was working, and dont ****** get me started on my secondaries. I dunno check your injectors ( i know you have an s5 so u dont have to worry about the resistor pack)...its worth a try. And it was the only thing causing my car to run like **** and hesistate and have no power and all this bullshit. Now my car runs like a ******* beast!

good idea, how would I "check" the injectors?
Would that cause low power, an engine miss, and blue smoke under heavy acceleration?

No cats bro. There aren't any on a Racing Beat turbo-back exhaust

compression test results are in my first post.
Could it still be blown?

It seems like compression is great until about 3K RPMs,
then, to me, it seems like it's leaking on the side seals or the intake.

I wonder why the oil would be so dark and smell of gas after only 2K miles... Does it smoke when you rev it in neutral? If you take off the oil cap does pressure or smoke come out while its running?

No, it doesn't really smoke when I rev it in neutral.

The only reason I can think for why the oil smells like gas(and is thinned out) so soon is that gas is blowing by the side seals. Nobody else has confirmed this yet though.

it sounds like bad injectors to me, it might be dumping too much fuel in. Notice bad gas mileage at all? Other than TII's already getting bad gas milage in the first place.
