is it my motor mounts??

I own a 1988 convertable with no major mods. When I'm driving it regularly (shifting at around 2500-3000) nothing is wrong but when I try to push it and/or red line it the shifter vibrates very hard and the car seems to do it a little bit. And I was wondering if it's my motor mounts thanks in advanced for your replys

how many miles are on the car?? motor mounts could be or tranny mount. but if i were you i would jack up the car and remove the flange off of the rear diff for the drive shaft and check the u-joints in the drve line. the only shitty part is that the u-joints are non replacable so you have to either get a use drive shaft or do like i did and get the one from like mazda trix that has replacable u-joints so i don thave to worry about it again. but that is def. where i would start.

When you pop the hood does the motor move around much at idle? Mine moved quite a bit because of my shot tranny mount.
