Is my motor blown?

Well i was on the highway and i notice smoke start coming in through my dash. Noticing this i try to accelerate to get to the emergency lane and get no reaction....no matter what i shifted to. it was like I was in 5th gear trying to accelerate from 20 mph. I finally get to the emergency lane and pop the hood. The radiator is smoking and antifreese is bubbling but the fan belt was still on and running. The engine finally dies and i try to restart it but it wouldn't. It sounded like a wind up toy when i tried to crank it. Anyone know whats going on?

huh did it overheat? I cant explain it smoking, or how that would be related to the car not starting...

Check the compression to see if your motor is still good.

I think the smoke was steam. Antifreeze was all over the place. Its on the high way still. I'll be going to pick it up. Hopefully it'll start instead of me having to tow it.

I wouldn't start it even if it will start. You could do catastrophic damage if it hasnt already happened. The price of towing is nothing compared to the price of a rebuild.

If you got smoke in through the dash? It might have been the heater core or one of the lines to it.

Actually, a suprising amount of smoke can come in from the engine bay. Once I had sprayed something in the engine bay and some dripped on the exhaust man. It smoked quite a bit, and came in straight through the vents (the blower was off, and not on frewsh air). My guess is that coolant was leaking/spraying out and burned on hot engine or exhaust parts.
