Quote: can oil injectors cause vac leaks? maybe thats where my problem is now.
Did you replace the oil injector "vacuum spider" onto its original TB nipple? It is NOT a vacuum line and does not need a vacuum nipple. FSM clearly refers to it as an "air hose" assembly, not vacuum- and if you check the orgin of its nipple it is from a hole in the TB that is parallel to airflow, not perpendicular- so it will not have vacuum.
That said, if your oil injector checkvalves were all working, I don't see that it would mess w/ the idle. If they weren't working it should suck oil into the engine not air- so again probably not your idle problem. I guess the checkvalve casing could be leaking where it seals at the top and letting air in. I had to reseal one of mine.
Quote: I have the vac spider, brake booster, and FPR...so i gues I only have 3 then.
And the 4th for boost sensor?

One thing you can try is to adjust your throttle butterfly's a little more closed. When I bought mine it idled the same way. Hunting up and down. Like it was breathing. We tried a bunch of things, before we made a slight adjustment to the butterflys. Bingo....

I'm gonna have to side with Liquid Anarchy ..... check your BAC valve.
My car's BAC was stuck in one position. When I checked the resistance, it was alright so I figured that it wasn't a problem. It was only after I took it off the car and put a current to it that I realized that it wasn't clicking at all - infact, it was completely siezed. Everytime my car dropped to an idle it would rev constantly, up and down. Whenever I was sitting at a light, the person next to me always thought I wanted to race - it was really pretty embarassing - especially when you pull up beside a cop or that NSX who wanted to prove something!
Take the valve off the car and make sure it works properly. Good luck!

also you can realy figure out if it's from a lean or rich mixture at idle (this can happen) you need to hook up a gas analyser though did you mess with the variable resistor?? if not i'd do that first.

Mulligan--How does one go about doing that?
Nick86--The BAC doesnt even work, we unhooked it and it didnt even make a difference. You think that could still cause it? I am going to o ahead and block it off along with everything else!

... maybe your engine compartment midget isn't doing his job.
Another plus of running bare-block. You can hire a midget to chill in there and handle routine maintinance. My midget got fired. He let the oil seals go bad. BAD MIDGET BAD! UNDERQUALIFIED!!! I NEED A COLLEGE GRAD MIDGET!!!
... I think I'm on drugs...

Well my bare back midget remembered his duties a little while ago and stopped the incessant revving...I don't know if Im ready to admit what it was yet. Gonna be a lot of poking fun when I tell you!

Well, what fixed is what the screw on the BAC, but it has since returned to its searcshin idle, so Im now thinking the BAC is bad, Ill find a new one and see how it does.
Any of my Birmingham connections have an extra BAC?

So hear's the new deal...the way it ran right was with the screw on the BAC closed alllll the way, even though it was only for a short while...which is what made me think the BAC went bad. Hear are my new questions:
1.) Can the BAC still be the culprit even though I have no accessories?
2.) If I block off the BAC, what holds idle?
3.) When I unplug the TPS (which tests within specs on DMM) the revving stops and the idle holds at around 1800, why is this?
I feel like I am VERY close to finding the problem and would love it if its as simple as just the BAC being bad.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Well, if your car ran without the TPS, I would:
unplug it and leave it
use the throttle plate adjustment to lower idle(I think this is your main problem)
if problems persist remove the BAC and block it off temporarily.
You can make it hold a perfect 800 idle as done above.

Take that ******* BAC off already. Mine idles fine with less stuff on the engine than yours.
Maybe I shouldn't drink beer and get tickets when I'm out that way...

I'll just read this and will share my expereince although it appears that you found the problem. I just put a haltech in and when I started it I got a ~2k RPM idle that would *not* come down. I tried everything and finally the night before driven 9hours to SS5 I tore the entire engine down to the block and found my problem. I had failed to scrape all the old gasket material off the lower intake manifold to engine connection. I had a leak that was essentially undetectable B/c it was so close to the engine. I scraped it off, put the engine back together exhasut turbo etc. Slept for 2.5 hours then drove to LA.
Anyway, it took me two weeks to find that! Duh...
