my lights on fc2000 front
put my lights on this weekend. nice and bright at night. i dont have lights in the passanger side as seen in pics i drilled holes for air to go right to thr intake. took it for a spin. air temps were at 2 and 3 degrees celcius. for turn signals just cut the end of the stock turns plastic. you see in pics.

I always liked the style of that front. I am not sure if the amber lights will hold up (uncovered) to the elements. Are those walmart foglights? Using the same ones in my miata.
Keep chipping away at it. Car is definately coming together. Where in NJ?

got the lights at advance auto parts. you can pick them up at pep boys also.
they are the same lights on the bottom in the fog light holes. since im not using the passanger side light area.
i felt i would put driving lights in the fog light holes. i bolted the light bracket to the bumper it self. which means where ever the light pattern is it stays.
i got lucky when i was mounting the lights to the bracket. and my beam is preety straight. not what i wanted to do but i wanted to drive at night from time to time.
so until next year its good for me. when i do the lights again i want them mounted to the frame of the car.
yes it was a little tidius. not to bad though.

Fog lights for headlamps? Get the HELLA 90mm HEADLAMPS. They have a real head light pattern and are street legal. http://www.rallylights.com/Hella_90m...p_Modules.aspx The halogen versions are'nt too expensive, not $20.00 cheap, but not $500.00 HID expensive. BTW, being registered as a "collector car" (whatever the hell that means), it still has to be street legal. It may not need to be inspected, but it still has to be street legal and safe. ANY cop can pull you over and cite you for those lights/lack of lights.

yes i know im just feeding it. had bad day at work and first thing i see when i get home is his reply.
i plan on getting beam style lamps like the hella lights when the car goes to the body shop. im getting the 30mm fenders from shine. as for the collector car thing in jersey all that is required is a working speedometer. cops dont even bother with me. when they see the collector sticker on the car they just go to the next car. unless i do something stupid in front of them.

Nice call on the collectors plates. Is that the same thing as "historic" in maryland?
Damn man, march of 2001........you have been here a lot longer than most people currently active on this site. 30mm fenders, what wheels will you be running?

for historic in nj. the car must be must be 25 years old. once my car is 25 years. i have to switch the registration to a historic. in order to have the same privleges as my collector. not sure what rims i will get i like many of the rays and volk rims out there. probably go wit 9 in front and 10 in rear.

I'm also going to register mine as a historic no emissions or anything ftw but I'm going to unplug the Cluster because you can only couple of thousands miles a year.
what are you going to do about miles?
