Unhappy My Hot Engine Bay Problem!!!please Help!!!!!!!!

Greetings from Greece.

I ve searched many posts but didnt find exactly my problem...so...

I have a 91' turbo II convertible (no mods) and my problem is the following:

Every time that the engine bay temperature rises (but the temperature gauge is at normal temp ) and this happens on hot days or when i get stuck in the traffic or when i turn off the engine for 20-30 minutes and then i try to start it again...
So when something of the above happens the car
stalls when i press the throttle pedal and stumbles too.I have to wait for a few minutes or rev the engine above 4000 rpm to move the car. When i am on the highway and the engine bay is getting enough air the car runs fine.

Also i just had my injectors proffesionally cleaned a few days ago so its not the injectors.

My car idles almost perfect...the rpm gauge needle just dives one time( but not dies )every time i come to a stop
but then the idle is rock steady at 900rpm.

Also when i accelerate real hard from 70-80 km/h with 5th gear i occasionally smell gas inside the car.

Thats all.

Any ideas???Is it the BAC???Fuel pump???Something else???

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thank you in advance.

Gas smell in the car is NEVER a good indication.

CHECK YOUR Pulsation Damper NOW!!!

J-Rat is right, but it's up to you.. your life could depend on it :-) Another option is to check the rubber boot in the shifter housing; although, don't positively know if that's an escape route for *fuel* fumes... can't hurt. Stumbling could be the notorious 3800 rpm stumble.. addt'l ground wire might help or try searching the Forum for more information. As to other comments, maybe someone else will chime in.
