It will be an 80a fuse. To take the fuse out you will need to remove the 2 nuts holding the fuse box in place. Pull the box off of the screws. Then open the 2 side panels to get to the screws holding the fuse in place (3 screws in all). Slide it out and replace.
Had to replace the damn thing twice this weekend.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would a fuze blow from reverse polarity? I little segment of metal doesn't know the difference between regular and reversed polarity...only a diode does.

I've seen ecu's killed this way, for some reason the main fuse did not protect it.

My best guess would be that the main fuse blows because the diode bridge circuit in the alt voltage regulator allows the reverse current to flow the complete path without resistance, similar to a direct short, and the fuse in this circuit happens to be that 80A main... You could simulate the same short if you were to remove that cable from the top of the alt and touch ground with it. Current is reversed, of course, but the normal circuit path is there (the fuse takes a long time to blow, compared to the velocity of electricity's time scale, which is why some ECU's take a crap during an "oops" episode)...
