Nice 7.

Hope you are ready as you have now started up that part of your brain and driving experience you can not stop now. The addiction is unbeatable....

Have fun

Mike

you have a different style motor than the turbo motor. your motor is a 6 port motor, the turbo motor is 4 port. unless you get a 13bt (turbo motor) and do the swap, then you will have to custom fabricate alot of stuff... but its alot of work. its a big debate on this forum weather or not to just do the swap, or turbo the 6 port. try using the search feature on this forum... theres plenty of information. in my opinion it would be better to just find a turbo engine, tranny, rearend, wiring harness and computer and do the swap. by the way... the turbo rx7's also had stronger transmissiions, a limited slip rear end, different engine harness and computer. good luck... nice car. bought those same exact wheels but sold car and never had a chance to put them on.

Not bad at all. I happen to like the S4 lights more than S5's.

yeah it gets real expensive to turbo an NA engine. they dont make a bolt on kit for it (no one does). You can do a complete swap for like $1500 and the set up is stronger anyway. You can also get a lot of power out of the car by getting rid of the injection and going with carburation and such. Like already mentioned, the debate is long and both ideas have been done. In the long run, I went with a turbo, it was cheaper and actually easier to do, especially if you dont weld stuff yourself...

Hmm...S4...no sunroof...sport spoiler..ee-gah! You picked the perfect first RX-7! 1987 Sport is the lightest of all RX-7's! Light=fast+nimble! Wee! Car looks excellent, aside from those sleepy-eyes . But..as long as you don't drive with them like that, it's all fine and good for pics

Looks like you got one with a few mods. Nice job, take good care of it and keep the FTPs in, Idon't like the black holes on the front bumper in pic one, or the sleepy eyes. Car looks great and my rx-7 is my first car too so I know how you feel to be driving that machine. I wish mine looked as good as yours, then I'd only have to do some engine work here and there. sadly I have to do both but I'll feel acomplished. Enjoy the car.

why does everyone hate on the sleepy eye conversion? (I would like a reason not a dumb *** response...(i.e. cause its stupid))

also the rx is not that bad to drive/drift. (too me anyways)

Uh, just because you personally can't drive, that makes everyone else an accident waiting to happen? Nice!
