my first fc
bought my first fc (88 glx) on dec 26 in somewhat neglected condition, did a little maintenance so far (plugs, wires, power steering belt) and have a ways to go before anywhere near perfect (needs full exhuast because of holes, tires, shocks, shifter bushings, and i need to finish fixing idling problems[though spark plugs helped a lot], and would like to change all fluids). i have not been driving it yet, but if my situation w/ parents degrades it will be my daily driver...though the few times i have driven it have been a blast, esp. after puttin in new spark plugs...made a huge difference...only thing i can say i dont like is the color...not a big fan of red...
bought it on somewhat of an impulse and the hope that i could fix the problems that i hope are minor as i believe them to be. on the lot it had no p/s belt and i allowed the guy to believe it did not work, and it works very well actually, i fould out after purchasing the particularly nasty idle was mostly due to an unplugged spark plug wire, and originally i thought the headlights would not flip up, but turns out some idiot swapped some fuses...i found where the box was b/c the car still has the org. owners manual...
love the car still even though its not perfect, and i dont miss the back seats...i am still driving my previous car, though all i like on it is the suspension anymore(i hate automatics), which is a 95 accord cpe with h&r race springs and tokico illuminas...slow but corners lovely and has a stiff spring rate...
the only thing i have not been able to discover in my few weeks of research are any springs with a stiff spring rate...everything i have seen is soft imo
have already made plans as where to go once i get started in ernest...full exhuast rb header, bonez cat, some 2 1/2 cat back, tires 225/50/15 g-Force sports (bfg), tokico illumina shocks...and if i dont lower it at the same time...i will start looking for a rebuilt motor, or attempt to do one myself...
rwd, lsd, rotary...what more could you ask for...oh, turbo...but it can wait
