Talking my FC vert is almost done!

well it seems like this is the week for my car to be finally done! all I have left to buy is I/c piping and a new battery. I had some friends I met on the forum install a TII motor, and tranny in it! I'm so excited; I can't wait. This is my first rotary and first convertible, so this car is going to pop my cherry in many ways!

Figured I'd share my good news with fellow FC owners!

nothing yet.. but that's is the next thing to get done, along with the brakes. I'm getting the racing beat suspension package for it and the slotted rotors.

no, it's just a phrase... I stand up to pee

one of them is on the forum, Bridgeported and the other is a friend of his... both really well with Rotaries, one has a monster port rotary, and the other has a bridge port rotary... both really quick!

^^^ I am inclined to agree (see avatar & user name)

By the way- DAMN YOU, BOOSTED VERT DRIVER!!

(okay, done hating now- just showing a little envy)

You are going w/a front mount i/c, I assume?

Are you gonna keep the stock hood and go sleeper?

well they are v mounting the i/c so I need to have vented hood for good effeciency of the i/c... I wanted to put it upfront but the i/c is way too big to mount upfront.. .I had all emissions, ps, and a/c removed. That's a lot wieght off of the car. I also have a racing beat dp, hks super dragger system... fd fuel pump( need to pay the guy) and of cource the FCD. The car will be mostly a sleeper until I can afford some nice deep dish 18in rims....

^^^18" rock baby...but ya know..they still look small on the vert...just put 18's on mine and it still has room for more...but 18's is enough! gotta knwo when to say WHEN!...but I dont understand why you need the vented hood for a V mount...if it is up front the slot in the hood will do ya no good....well...unless you did what I am doing...but more on that later...lemme know why you need the vented hood for a V mount!!!!!!!!!!

Well they are mounting it somewhat flush against the hood so in order for it to get cold air the hood need to be vented up near it... I believe; now they are calling it v mount which in my opinion dealt with like how the drifters have it; but they know far more than I do so that's what I have been calling it... oh yeah I have two electric fans, one on the radiator and one on the I/C ...

let me know your opinion on the v mount thing.. either way it looks sic!

i would have to see pics....a V mount has to do with the way the IC is mounted up front with the radiator..they form a V ..this is supposed to help keep the car cooler because the regular FMIC have a tendancy to overheat the car because they block a lot of the air to the radiator...like I said...need pics to see what they are talking about..but for efficiency..the IC needs to be up front not the stock location...too small of a slot for lots of air...there is such a BIG difference with my HKS FMIC when compared to the stock..I can touch the IC now and it is cold..the old IC would be almost too hot to touch after a drive..
