My emissions removal
Just a few pics from my injector install/emissions removal/cleaning up.
I stripped down everything, ripped out all the vacuum lines that I didn't need, degreased the motor and manifolds, painted the intake manifolds black, painted the hotside of the turbo and exhaust manifold black with 1200*F paint..... we will see how that holds up....... installed blockoff plates from Pineapple, cut the pipe off the ACV flange and welded it shut to make it a block off plate, and just cleaned things up in general. I also put in 690cc injectors that were just cleaned/flow tested in my secondarys. On the turbo manifold, I cut out the twin scroll flapper and welded the hole shut. As for vacuum lines, I will have the injector air bleed, FPR, MAP, brake booster, and BOV. I elminated the AWS valve and capped everything else on the manifolds that was not needed.
The reason I did all this was because the car was only pulling 10" of vacuum at idle and just not running like it should.... so I decided to simplify the vacuum as much as I could to help it out.
If anyone has any questions about anything, feel free to ask. This whole process has really cleaned up the engine bay, not as much crap running everywhere.... I hope it makes it run just as good.
