My dash lights need warm-up ???

Something weird is happening to my 86 fc. When I light my dash lights they won't light. After 5 or 10 mins they will start light up. Why ?? Do they need to warm up

Probably your headlight switch is dying - there's one wire going to it that's carrying a little too much amperage and burns the connector over time.

Feel lucky.. mine don't come on at all now.
I installed my stereo yesterday, and now all my lights work except for my dash lights. Even the blinkers work...

I guess I can't complain.. I still have headlights..
