Do you have colored bulbs? I believe it's illegal if they don't flash the yellow/orange color.

It looks stock. Otherwise I don't see the point in them cept to look "cool" like those S5 guys.

basically they front turn signal lights are alot like the ones on the s5's i was toying around with the idea of getting some night shade spray and lightly tint them. but i like them the way they are. the corner lights i have only seen on like mazdatrix and corksport and other places ,, but i didnt want to spend 40 plus dollars on something that only costme 10 to build. as for the s5 front turn signals . how much can you get those for?? and i heard that they dont even fit the s4 bumper. And im not sure if anyone picked up on it , but i have a s5. only with a s4 bumper. the guy i bought the car from i guess had a fender bender and replaced it with a s4 bumper. sucks to cuz i love the s5 bumper. so basically with me doing the lights i had to catch up to the stock s5's heheheh ill be doing the rear turning lights in the next day or 2 . but when i finally pick up my t2 ill be doing the same thing. all together i spent about 3-4 hours ( lots of tries) and about 7 bucks. and about a 12 pack of beer. but i was bored so i needed something to do

The material doesn't look like lexan to me, it looks more like the plastic on fluorescent lightfixtures.

ding ding ding,, home depot lighting section .. 6.94 a sheet i think ..

"what did u use for the gauges?"

i used plexi glass and formed it to fit into the dash , but as you can see i need better tools , hahah , a nice table saw would help alot . also i cracked it cuz i wasnt being careful

not sure i quite understand. . but i m going to give the gauge bezel another shot maybe this weekend when i can have acess (spelling) to better tools. i like how it came out . actually i made two panels. the first one fit so perfect but when i was cutting out the wholes for the gauges my grip slipped and i spun around , hit my bench grinder and smashed .. i have the cuts on my hand to prove it . this one i had to put in there for the time being .. the bend i put in it so it would match the curvature of the radio bezel was so so ,, but i didnt cut it striaght on the top as you can see. but live and learn ,. like i said it will perfect it soon enough. ill probobly be doing this mod to my t2 as well

Looks good. How well do you think they will hold up outside? What about sealing them..clear silicone?

Oh when I did my vent pod, I used some thin SS stock. That way it's strong enough to be stout but thin enough to fit smooth and flush. I then added some uniform holes so that air could still pass through it.

Why can't he just use the stock gasket with a dab of silicon on each to hold the gasket to the light? They came out nice...

Do you have S5 front fenders on your S4?

Even if you hadn't said it, I would have seen that and asked why you made turn signals out of flourescent light fixtures.

if you remove the radio surround, theres nothing in that area but a big, box shaped hole that the a/c comes out of. i mounted mine flush against it. its easier b/c you dont need a bent panel. for only a couple $ tho you could just make a fiberglass onethat fits like a charm.

yeah i have tried fiberglass before and lets say im really handicapped with it.

For sealing the lights i havent done anything of the sort .. simply just bolted them on .. i think thats cuz i found out my car was peiced together by the previous owner. for example on one side( this is the corner lights im talking about) there was a rubber backing that the lens simply pressed against and the screws held them both to the fender. the other side was a sealed plastic unit. the lens was adheved to the backing. i simply took a razor blade heated it up with a heat gun and ran the sharpe cutting side in the seal between the lens and the backing all the way around. then i lighty heated the lens/backing / gently pryed with a thin screwdriver. and worked my way all the way around . and walla . they came apart no problem. the front blinker lights simply unscrewed and fell out . nothing holding them in . as of now. we took the car up to New Hampsire and back . held up nicely and look great . to bad the paint and the body need work . heheh
