is my clutch going?

basiclly i was going to race my friends 297rwhp S13... so i was reving the engine at bout 5000 rpm to launch, popped the clutch, tires spun then all the sudden i was at 7500 rpm and not moving anywhere... looked down and ****! it slipped out of first! smelt like rotten eggs for the drive home too!.... so is my clutch dieing!

Well, how is it now? If you notice any ,yes, you're in the market for a clutch assembly. Clutch might have been burning, so that's probably the smell.
Must have had a lot of faith in that TII to race a car with 297 rwhp!

Also known as "buzzing the clutch"
Hopefully you didn't burn the flywheel too bad.
Maybe start saving for a nice high torque clutch.

haha no we were just having some fun he wanted to know how bad his car would spank me!... his car ran 13.07 seconds on the 1/4 mile thats when it wasnt tuned... now he just got it dynoed and tuned and now hes at 297 at the wheels and his cars still not boosting properly...

I have the ACT 6-puck with the heavy duty PP, and i love it, takes all the abuse i can throw at it.
