TX My car won't start.

Well my car died out on me a couple weeks ago but i haven't had time to see what was wrong. Before it died out though it took awhile for the car to turn over when i turned the key. I have a new battery(and checked it) and checked both the alternator and starter and both are fine. My fuses are still good and i tried that trick when turning the key to ON to hear the fuel pump go "vooot". For some reason now though my when i turn the key for the dash lights to go on my voltmeter doesn read it just stays at 8v. my car still cranks but doesn turn over. any suggestions? thanks

Have you checked the voltage on your battery terminals? Cleaned the terminal connections? I don't know if this one could be applicable, but I had weird stuff happening when my driver's side strut tower ground was dirty [it looks like a tab holding the wiring bundle to the side of the tower just above the frame rail]

there is also a "plate" on the back of the starter solinoid that has hot and ground wires runing to it. if it is not grounded just right, it will short out the starter. the starter will still crank, but at a much slower RPM

You probably flooded it 9/10 that's what the answer is around here. If the starter still works, pull both egi fuses (s4) or the one egi fuse (s5). Removed the spark plugs and crank the engine, most likely you smell a lot of fuel. Keep doing it til it starts. If that doesn't work give us a detailed description of what's happening.

Agreed I had same problem when working on my car when the water thermo sensor was broken and after I replaced the sensor I thought something else was wrong when all it was dirty plugs and flooded tons of gas came out of the spark plug holes.
