I have an 87 rx7 turbo II
Stock Injectors
stock turbo
stock fuel pump
stock intercooler
fcd
all emmisions removed have correct block off plates
3 inch downpipe straight 3 inch pipes all the way to the back


my car is running really rich at idle
and lean at full throttle. car starts to creep past 12lbs of boost and toward fifteen
and my a/f gauge heads dangerously towards the red.

i picked up a manual boost controller
apexi afc neo (100 bux)
and bought a wideband a/f ratio gauge and controller

I want to set the boost at 10 and lean out the mixture at idle. I just want to know if im headed in the right direction! Comments welcome! Any help appreciated! thank you

 

Your getting boost creep because of the exhaust. You will need to port the wastegate to get rid of that.

 

can i control the boost with the manual boost controller?

 

No, boost controllers only raise boost, not lower it.
