my car has a starting problem help

Angry my car has a starting problem help

last night i was driveing my car and stop at a friends house. when i came out to leave i tried to start my car and it went click. the headlights come on and i know the car is getting power.

when I turn the key to start i here something underneth the car go click. could the starter be bad. or could their be a short somewhere.

i know the car runs becuase i pushed started it but i will not start with the starter.


please help

You have a bad starter or starter solenoid. Yes, they will die that quick. Have you had any starting problems prior to this?
You did the correct diagnostic. If the car has plenty of power, your headlights and all interior lights are bright, then it can only be the starter. The click is the solenoid, so it is probably ok.
You might want to start calling around to see if any of the local alternator/starter shops in the area have or can get yu a rebuilt starter for your model of RX 7.

I have a parts car with a good starter on it so i will put it on, thanks for your information.
