My car is getting there.

Well I have fixed my throttle problem, my 3800 rpm problem (found the ground and cleaned it), fixed the coolent buzzer problem (the right way). I have fixed the exhaust temp problem (I think) the light is out but I still have the alarm. So I have one question, the alarm sounds like a regular cars door open alarm. But when I shut the doors the warning lights go out, but this alarm is still on. Anyone have any ideas on what it is and how to fix it. I have been searching for days and all I seem to find is threads about the coolent buzzer.

Thanks, Mike

When you refer to your exhaust temp problem was this causing the warning light in the unit in the dash to light up? If so, did this light turn on each time you drove the car? And did this occur over a period of time such as days, weeks or months?

Here's what was happening. When I got the car the light was on, The light would come on when ever I started the car even when it was cold. So I disconected the sensor. The light went out but I still have a alarm going off.

Above you stated the warning light goes out when you close the door. Which warning light are you talking about. Is it the exhaust light that goes out, the door ajar light or both? And what year is your car?

OK I should have made it clearer I disconected the exhaust sensor, so that light doesn't come on anymore. The door ajar light goes out when the door is shut. Also I should note that the light doesn't always come on when the door is open either, and again the alarm is always on no matter what.

If the wiring for the exhaust sensor has a short in it that could cause the beeping sound but if not then you need to focus on the door ajar sensor. If your car is a S4 then use the following links to narrow down your problem.

Heat sensor: page 47

Door ajar:should be found in the link below

Well I have replaced my plugs and plug wires, O2 sensor and air filter. I can tell the car is running better now. I have ordered a new cat from rx7.com I got the Bonez superflo system after reading through tons of posts on here I felt that it was a good buy. So all I have left to do now is, replace my fuel filter wich I'm going to try and do tonight I still have to fix the oil leak from my oil pan and my master cylinder is leaking. I still can't figure out the alarm I have going off. Then I have to try and pass smog, since I failed really bad on my first try. If there is anything I'm missing to help me pass smog please let me know.

Thanks everyone, Mike
