So I am finishing aquiring parts for my 10AE build and need to make sure i have the "loose" ends tied up..
Setup-
S5 Turbo Engine
S5 Turbo Flywheel/Clutch
S4 Turbo Front Cover with mechanical OMP
S5 Turbo/Manifold
S4 Turbo Intake Manifolds and Throttle body
S4 Turbo Injectors/rails
I need a quick reminder on some of the small logistics regading some of the plumbing etc..
Oil feed and return- Is there a reason why the s4 oil feed/return will not bolt up to the turbo and front cover while utilizing the s5 turbo??
Water feed/return- I am a little aprehensive about using the s5 waterpump/housing due to the easy break oven (thermostat neck) will the s4 be a reasonable choice.
Pulleys- I can run the stock S4 main pulley correct? The Eshaft has the same keyway if I remember correctly.
Intake tubing- I know the S5 and s4 Intake tubing (from turbo to airbox) is a little different, but can I utilize the OEM s4 intake system on the S5 turbo?
Thanks in advance for the refresher

Short answer...yes.
The oil feed should be native to the motor, as the feed/drain locations are the same on the turbo. The s5 water pump housing sux, swap it for the s4. The only difference in intake plumbing is the afm so as long as you have the s4 stuff you'll be fine. Only thing I'm unsure on is the pulley, I know the spark plug holes arr different between s4 and s5, not sure if that affects the timing marks.

Turbo oil drain: You need to use the drain line that matches your front cover, so you'd need the S4 one. The S5 drain line is different because of the S5 front cover differences.
WP Housing: I think you'll have to use an S4 WP housing anyhow. Again front cover differences come into play, and I know they can't be interchanged at least one way (S4->S5 or maybe it's S5->S4). But you can't go wrong using the housing that matches the front cover.
Main pulley: You mean the hub & pulleys, right? It's been a long time, but I think when we built up an S5 TII engine with an S4 front cover, we just reused the existing parts. Is there a reason you want to use S4 ones? If you have both, bolt on the pulleys & compare timing marks side by side to see if they're the same.
Intake: S5s have an additional port on the plastic TID. I don't remember what it is off the top of my head, but if you're swapping most stuff out for S4, it won't really matter. The 2 ports on an S4 TID are PCV and bypass valve/BOV.
