my brake rotors are stuck
as the title stated the front rotors are stuck to the hubs on my fc.
I took out the philips head screws and even went as far as removing
the studs. i have tried heating them beating them and pulling them.
Is there a trick? what am i doing wrong? also the stock rotors are
completly trashed after the first week of tring to remove them so any
and all help would be great. thanks

The Cause of Death
If you're 100% sure you got the hold down screws out, just beat the **** out of them with a large hammer, and they should pop off.
If that doesn't work, keep beating on them until they break into pieces, then they should come off. Some PBlaster around the hub where it meets the rotor definitely will help.
Bottom line, be a man and man up!
Take out some aggression. There's really no trick to getting them off either. Just put some muscle into it.
Good luck, they should come off.

personal experience:
- heat doesn't help unless you are using a LOT of heat. be sure to repack your bearings if doing this
- hit them hard, and hitting the OUTSIDE face actually seems to work better than hitting the inside face.
- if you really can't get them off, you will have to just take them off with the hub and send it to a shop/garage that can do it. this happened to me.
in fact, one of them was so bad that they could not get it off with a press so they had to actually CUT the rotor off from the hub. make sure if you have to do this you protect bearings as best you can, and clean out and repack them before putting back on car
- when you put the new rotors on use TONS of high temp anti-sieze!
hope that helps.

i used my kroil twice a day for about a week, then rotor puller / tranny gear puller. and my 5lb sledge. tighten, pound, tighten, pound, you get the idea.
all 4 came off with a great bell sound due to the tension on them, and the WHACK with the hammer.
mine were virtually welded on with rust but after they are off a wire wheel on my drill made short work of the rust.
hope that helps,

Hitting them with a hammer on opposite sides should make it come off. Hit them on the outside edge on the front face of the rotor. should make one side pop out a bit, then wedge something behind it and move to the other side and hit it. Work it back and forth lik that and it should come off. Thats always been my technique anyway
