My beutiful Clock Wont stay lit up,or keep time,

its a minor thing but kinda get me..I sent threads on this but dont get much back exept to resolder..But where.? any videos or directions to fix my clock! thanks...i have a 88gxl

Clif notes. Take it appart and heat up the solder on all the connector pins. Thats it!

i would rather repair components than to replace them, while you have them out may as well since it only takes a few minutes to heat up a solder iron.

Yea. I've fixed this on 2 '7s so far (mine, and a friend who lives down the street).

Pull unit, resolder everything. Honestly, I'd suggest adding solder as well. Some of the joints were really rather empty. Afterwards, the clock is bright, doesn't lose it's mind, and doesn't require constant smacking to stay lit.
