My 89' TII vs IS300...

This kid with a stock triptronic IS300 thinks he can beat my 89' TII with 15k on a rebuild. I ran a 14.8 on crappy tires with just my intake. Last time I checked they ran like mid 15's, plus his is triptronic. I'm just curious to see if he got an intake/exhaust if he could beat me. He says his car would stomp mine stock, as well as an RSX that runs low 14's at our school.

So with intake/exhaust on it, could he beat my 14.8? I'm going to go against him while he's stock, and he thinks he can crush me that way. By the time he gets his intake/exhaust i'll have my RB turboback, ported wastegate, walbro, dyno tuned s-afc and all, so he wont stand a chance, but just wanted to know.

- Brian

Oh, and move this to whatever section you want, some threads in the Kills section say post here, others say different places so I didn't know what one to follow.

Tell that to him, i've asked him multiple times to go against me but he keeps being a ***** about it. He talks so much **** about his car being faster, but he wont go for it. Finally he agreed to go against me in a few weeks.

If you don't know how fast a car is, go to www.car-stats.com and you'll find out.

my buddys is300 with a 75 shot made 250whp on the dyno... ran a 14.6 on the track.

He is ALL stock with a 75 shot.

Without the shot he is just as fast as a integra gsr... they raced... dead even.

So as long as you launch right you should beat him. what was your 60foot time?

I don't know how your buddies is300 kept up with a gsr, we just got gone putting a stock 99 gsr motor in my buddies 93 civic wagon, all he has is fuel managent set to stock applications and we got it to chirp fifth without using all the pedal. It would destory MKIII N/A supra.

What a retard. I used to own IS300... they are SLOW stock. It's a really nice car for daily driving and occansional canyon runs, but that's about it. Striaght line wise, it's nothing impressive.

what does your buddys modified civic have to do with the fact that my friends raced... in cars that you do not have access to.

I dont get it. We were out making video clips of flybys and races, Once all edited into one video ill post it.

no spray they are euqal...
with spray he ran a 14.6...

Here is where you say something about how a clown car can hold x number of people.... totally off point.

EDIT: P.S. Why would you go out and even try to make a car chirp the wheels in over drive?!

You aren't going to win if you add full exhaust! That would be a pretty funny sight if you went to race someone, and suddenly your car stops getting fuel when you overboost. Its called fuel cut. If you wanna run intake and exhaust, you need an FCD, not to mention a ported wastegate, boost controller, and upgraded fuel pump at the very least.

Ahem....read above...By the time the exhaust goes on i'll have the FCD (already purchased), Walbro 255 (already purchased), S-AFC, ported wastegate, and the exhaust/intake.

If they didn't do anything else and they just dropped in the motor I say around 14's.

What model 240 and what model sr20?

TII owners need to become more familiar with their cars. To many ppl under estimate the power of a TII including the owners.
A poperly tuned TII can hit stock FD numbers very easily, and last time i heard FD's are damn fast.

Youll kill him have more faith my man and get you car to the tracks ASAP.

Ok great but now if you really want to get a good opinion go to a IS300 forum and ask the same question and see what they have to say about TII's.
