This morning I was takin out the trash and as I was returning to my house I stoped to admire my Rx-7. As I walked by the car I brushed the hood with my hand about 3 seconds later the car goes crazy starts beeping and flashing. It has never done that before I always just figured that the alarm was dead. Since then I havnt been able to activate the alarm again so is there some relay or sensor that I can clean or replace that would make the thing start working right again or was it just a fluke? Also Im pissed cuz for some reason the car got slower in the past few weeks cuz about 3 weeks ago I could smoke my friends camaro now I am even with a Turbo Beetle so I need to figure whats up with that as well.

You probably have a problem with the door plungers. Open the door, unscrew the plungers, clean them with WD40 and some fine sandpaper to remove corrosion. Clean the mating surface on the car. Make sure that they spring up and down well, and that there is no corrosion. Put it all back together, and see if that helps!
