These aren't mine, but they look the same. Well, mine are currently a little dirtier. (the bottom, non-polished ones)

ewww civic....

damn man you scored, especially if you can get that engine unsiezed. Im jealous

Well i got my 10thAE for 250 bucks so hah! But that also came with a blown motor, crappy brakes, messed up 3rd and 5th gear, cracked front bumber,.... broken intercooler vent on the hood, next to no paint.......... ripped up interior (it was owned by an illegal mexican before me, so they ripped it apart searching it for drugs ) The list unfortunately goes on and on.... enjoy your find man!

actually you should use the mmo the atf is known to eat seals.... i bought a 90 gxl that had 92000.. it had been sitting in a garage for 3.5 years never touched. filled the motor with mmo all the way to the upper mani connection and plugged the exhuast.. let it sitt for a week (yes a little ****) drained and turned over by hand a couple times to empty.... then fired it .... it took on the 4 fire. been a good car for 5 thou already... but the atf will eat seals for sure , mmo does fine with carbon...

AMSOL POWER FOAM ubers carbon.

just spray it in and spray it in.

if you can't get it to turn over for anything and you've tried ATF and MMO (ATF works fantastic, too!), put the car in 5th gear and push/pull it backwards. this WILL free the engine. PERIOD.

then you can check the compression and see if it's time ot find a used motor or not

well i want to get the motor unseized.... but theres to reasons why I really dont care if I get it unseized. 1: it might be hydro locked.... and 2: the motor has 162k miles on it. but im still gonna try soon if i deside to stop being lazy.

Just do the mmo how you would do the atf, take the top spark plugs out and use a fluid pump to pump it in the hole, turn engine, pump more, repeat. My ATF sat in the engine for about a week before it was able to turn freely.

Why don't you try towing it from a truck, get her moving, then throw it in gear? It's a long shot, but worth a try to get the engine loose again.

sorry, ive got another question about the mmo trick, im tryin this because i cant turn the motor over by hand, and maynard5000 said to fill it up, turn it over, and fill some more. what should i do since i cant turn it over. and also, if i fill it up, after a few days of it sitting in the housings, how do i drain it?

yea i forgot i could turn mine over because it broke loose when i turned it by hand but it wouldnt make a full revolution, so thats why i did the atf. Since you can't move it, i guess you should just put it in the spark plug holes and see if it can do anything for ya, I would probably take the intake manifolds off and squirt some in intake ports too, then if the engine is able to move, all i did was turn it over by hand a few times to get some of the ATF out, then tried to start it.

It looks like you still can't get the motor to spin, have you tried turning the eshaft backwards? Just wondering if it's locked in both directions.

Other thoughts:
What about the starter: Does it engage or is it possibly wedged?
Does the car roll with the transmission in gear and the clutch pushed in?
What does the engine oil look like? (Burnt?)
What color is the coolant?

If the engine is toast, you'll have to pull the intake and exhaust off anyway so I would pull them and fill the engine one more time with MMO. If that doesn't work, I think it's safe to say the engine is seized.

hey guys, i just tryed putting some MMO in my engine just now. I pulled the top 2 plugs out and tryed filling up but the MMO just squirted out, it wouldnt go inside the housings. So then I pulled out on of the bottom plugs, and it was covered in oil. . . .and wozzoom, the coolant is that neon green color, and about the starter, when i tryed starting the motor when i 1st go it, all it would do is click, like it was trying to turn the motor over, but couldnt.

Well thats 2 things.
1. Battery is too weak.
2. Motor is frozen- so the starter cant turn it.

Its already been said in the thread- but have a couple of friends over, and have then push you in the car down the street and toss it into 1st gear.
Should break it free .

When you push start it, do you have to turn the key as if you are starting it or what?
Do you just leave it in the same spot that it would be if it was running normally or what?
BTW, Those rims at the top of this page are not what the S5 GXL rims look like.

Yep, put the key into the "running position" and then just get going about 8-10mph and through it in first!
