My 10th AE ran..For a little while.
Update...I got this 10th AE for $700.00 It had no spark... I fixed a broken wire, and push started it...BOY WHAT FUN!!! That thing was MOVING!
After 5 mins it died again...Wouldnt start. And the wire that I repaired was VERY hot.. Looks like the wiring harness may be shot...
Anyone got an 88 TII wiring harness they want to sell?

Sounds like the perfect time for a Haltech.
Just something to think about.
How are the engine grounds?
If you've got hot wires, it may be a sign that your grounds are bad. You can just take a jumper cable from the neg battery terminal to the engine as a test. If it starts and runs fine, you have a grounding issue.

Hmm...Might be thinking about that too. I think that the ECU may have fried also...
The power windows quit working and everything, now I gotta see if I fried the ECU also.

I fixed it (again)
Unbelievable...After hours of troubleshooting and a few burned fuses, I found the problem...
One of the air hose clamps (the spring loaded ones) had come loose and migrated down to a test connector. It was grounding the test connector to the frame... What luck! I was about 5 mins away from pulling the entire wiring harness...
Now, time for a beer, I will reassamble that thing tomorrow.

So I solved the wiring problem, but it wouldnt run. So I ATF'd it, and pushed it around my block. About the second lap, the motor began to fire..
Now it starts up evertime, and purrs like a kitten.
Nothing like getting a running 10th AE for $700. Although I am thinking about selling it.
