Is that the 10th AE I saw on eBay a few months ago? I remember the non-AE wheels.

Lucky you! My AE is hybernating under a cover in my garage for the winter in Chicago. It is currently 17 degrees out. Man I wish I was in AZ. I'd be driving mine right now!
Enjoy!

Did you ever find out what mounts Checkers gave you?
I'm envious too, it was 36 here in Jersey today, and high the rest of the week will be 28. Salt all over the roads. Looks like I'll be driving it around March!!!
Nice 10AE. I bet your glad it finally all came together. Enjoy it.

You will probably take that back after replacing the motor a 2nd and 3rd time hehe JK Good job. I hope the store gave you your money back for the weird motor mounts.

Hah, I'm just the opposite, I will never buy a turbo again, god damn things never work for me! NA's however, they never let me down, until I wreck them, of course! :-D

Thanks all!

Sonic: I got the motor in this weekend, would have been sooner, but I was monkeying with the wrong motor mounts.

Everything seems to be in order except for a big exhaust leak where the DP mounts to the turbo. And of course the boost gauge that doesnt seem to work unless it wants to. Runs a little hotter then my N/A does, but man, does that thing FLY!

And the passenger side window used to go down, now it doesnt. I think I may have unplugged something. No biggie, standard bugs after a motor/tranny swap.

Yeah, soon.. Still got alot of bugs to work out. But hopefully it will be at SIR for the next Import Madness event. The rotary representation is very slim there. nothing but supras and hondas.

nothing right now, I have an aftermarket TMIC that needs to go in, and my FCD, but I am gonna leave the motor stock right now. Gotta refill the cooling system with 50/50, all the little stuff that needs to be looked at after a motor swap. I have the other motor, that may go to get rebuilt, or I may do it myself depending on how froggy I am feeling.

The main thing now is fixing all the things that got messed up. The car hasnt exactly lived a great life..Both harnesess (wiring) were hacked to peices. I already replaced one (ECU). The list of little offences is endless....

But, it seems that i fixed the boost gauge. And the window works now too. WhaT fuN!!!

Jarrett

*EDIT* How is your car doing? Last I heard, you were having problems getting boost at the low end.

I still don't think i am getting enough boost at the low end. But I have been so busy lately that I still have to install my Aftermarket boost gauge, and a few other parts.... I haven't really taken a good look at things lately, I kinda loose intrest in the winter... its cold & shitty car weather, gets dark at 5PM .. I will get back to it and have it all set again by this summer. I do drive it at least once a week though runs perfect! other than the low end boost.

I can understand...I turn into a little bitch when the temps drop below 60. I dont want to go anywhere or do anything. Too much of a summer person.
