mustang rim with 275/40

I have read alot of guys run newer mustang rims on fc's but what about a 95 mustang gt wheel with 275/40/17's

I believe they are 17x8 20mm offset. Has anyone used them or know if they would even fit?

That wheel with a 235/45 tire will fit beautifully in the rear.
Could probably go as high as 255 and be OK.

+20 offset is too much for the front though.
With a 225 you may be able to pull the fender and not scrub too badly but anything larger will be too much.

Personally, I think a 275 is too wide for an 8" rim.

94-04 Mustang GT wheels are all 17X8 +30.

A 245/45/17 will fit in the back without issue. You can do 235/40/17 all around as well. or maybe 245/40 17 depending on your suspension.

I know the 275/40 are pretty common for Mustang guys to run on the rear with these wheels. I just am wondering if they fit without issues on the rear of an FC. I have the chance to pick up a set with drag radials on them on the cheap.

It should fit on the back. It might need a fender roll.

Alright, A fender roll doesnt bother me too much, I was just concerned with them hitting the suspension.
