mufflers heat shield

Anyone running their car without them?? Any issue/s?? I am trying to run a wider rear tires and "if" i remove them will give me more clearance.

i don't use any of the rear heat shields on my car...with no ill effects.

i removed one side on a weight reduction car, and later got a better exahust that went down the other side, and have had no problems with out the sheild.

i removed mine as well cause i couldnt fit bigger wheels. everything still seems fine
