muffler recommendations
Does anybody know where to get HKS mufflers? I don't want the y-pipe or anything, just 2 HKS mufflers. If not, does anybody have any recomendations for mufflers to get for my dual exhaust setup? I want very stock looking mufflers I don't really care about how loud, although I want it to be as quiet as possible WITHOUT compromising power. I realize I'm going to be loud as hell with dual outlet headers,straight-pipes(maybe presilencers) and free flowing muffs. I don't some cheapo generic mufflers either. I want something high quality, and stock looking. If I can't find anything like that, than I will probably end up going with the racing beats, cause they do look nice. I've heard the HKS's are quieter, and they look more stock.

I know where you can get HKS Hiper mufflers, they are a little over 3.5" tips so not stock looking though. Its at www.optauto.com if you want them. Or if not you can get some from rx7.com that are very stock looking.

A pair of old style Racing Beat mufflers would be perfect for you. They look great on the car, not as much BLING BLING as the new RB mufflers have. They look like they should have been on the car in the first place.
Here's a couple pics of mine...
The tips are rolled in so that if you look at them directly from the back they're still very shiney and visible. The only thing I've heard is that it may be a bit more loud than the HKS mufflers, but I've never heard the HKS's so I don't know firsthand.

Hey guys,
Maybe you can also help, I am looking at getting a bonez high flow cat and an apex N1 for my new 89 N/A GTU. It has a hole in the existing catilics and I was wondering how loud this would bee (COO FACTOR) and how much more Hp would I be able to blow out of it. Thanks for the help
