Muffler heat shield

Muffler heat shield

It's making contacts with sidewalls of the Tire, as tires make positive camber when high lateral G's on the car. Stock strut/spring

Those running bigger rear tires, what was your solution. One obvious is to taking the shield out but I do not like taking off what might be a proper part.

I fail to see how it can be re-used on aftermarket exhaust, if that means anything....

I guess all the cars with say, a racing Beat exhaust, have to take the shields off then Right?..Wrong.
The mufflers fit in the stock location,perfectly.
The heat shields are there to protect the car from excessive heat.Also to keep heat away from the gas tank.
You can bend the shield or Trim it,to compensate for your problem.
I wouldn't take it all off.

^ This. Bend or cut a portion of the heatshields, but do not remove them.

My mistake. I never recommended removing them, I was just under the impression some aftermarket kits would require their removal.

But thanks for the heads up.

I'll try bending, tho bending the way you want is tough. It's not elec guitar strings you know.
