The stock BOV plumbs back into the air intake, if you go with a BOV venting to atmosphere (for the JdM TyTe sound) you will often get air leaks at idle, except for the HKS SSQV, and possibly other that I'm not sure of.

What makes you say that? Unless you're an idiot and don't cap the intake duct return, it should not leak.

To the OP, you have a stock motor. Why do you need an aftermaket BOV? Just for the sound? IMHO, a better sound that you get to experience all the time when you drive is a nice RB exhaust system. Save your couple hundred $$$ of a stupid woosh noise and look elsewhere. The stock BOV works perfectly fine for all stock and lightly modified situations.

bov is simple, it goes from the top of the turbo right into the intercooler. buy a bov kit, meaning a blow off valve with an fc specific charge pipe and it shouldn't be more than a 20-30 minute install. Don't forget you're going to have to run vacuum to the bov, so make sure you have a vacuum tee and some extra hose. I plumbed mine from the boost sensor line.

The BOV touches the Turbo inlet duct located on the passenger side.

You could buy a complete BOV setup on on ebay. But if your asking where the BOV is then you should probably be doing some other kind of mod first.

BOV's are located post-AFM. Under boost with throttle closing, it relieves to the atmosphere. Air that has already been measured, not going into the engine. This causes a rich condition. Under vacuum some open-atmosphere BOV's will leak. This is also air that has been measured, causing a rich condition.

Edit: Why again do you want an aftermarket BOV???

If you buy a kit specific to the car, it should come with an adaptor. The HKS kit has everything you need in the box.

If he wanted to put on a bov then answer his question and let him install it.
Like midnightowl said, its easier to buy a car specific bov. I normally go with greddy, hell they even have instruction for our fc.
