MOUNT is going...

Whenever I shift, especially from 1st and 2nd gears, my engine rocks and I can feel the car slightly pitch and dive. Which MOUNT could be bad?..the engine ones or the tranny one?

do you get a clunk from the rear? the diff mount is a common breaking point from doing burnouts and hard launches which I know you do lots of but if you don't hear anything that might not be it. grab you engine with both hands and try and rock it side to side. if it moves more then an inch or so you could probably replace the motor mounts.

I keep breaking the passenegr side mount- I really like having the engine bounce around when I go over bumps! Feels like the whole car is clunking around....
I guess the head from the manifold weakens the bond with the rubber on that side. I've replaced it twice in the last year... I think I'm gonn try something really drastic and hardcore... like duct tape.

pick up the mounts from mazda comp. $22.50 each. I can't move my engine at all by hand. the mounts are 40% stonger then stock.

NICE!!! Thanks, I could use better then STOCK mounts! So you know about my harsh driving style?! I think maybe my DIFF mount might be at fault too...but I don't believe I ever heard a clunking sound. I will look into getting some new engine mounts soon...

well the motor mount reply was for bambam. but you can get some too if you really want that was usd in case you didn't relize.

www.mazdamotorsports.com they don't have the mounts listed. you just have to phone them. the stuff gets shiped from ontario so there is no border fees, just shipping. and you pay gst when it comes to your door.
