Motorless Vert Price

Search helped, but not enough. I'm looking at a roughly 100k '88 vert. No motor.... Car probably a little below average on condition. Stock otherwise.

The dealer is asking $950 (Down from an unbelievable $1900-all in the course of 2 weeks!).

What say you?

Thanks

hows the interior? the soft top? the electronics? i would say no more than $500.00, just tell them that you dont know if there are any electrical problems you will encounter, dont know if motors are frozen for headlights, soft top, etc. tell them there is no warranty(ofcourse) so you are taking a huge risk that the car may never run...may have to replace fuel tank etc. gotta replace struts and such. gotta buy a new motor and pay someone to instal the motor for you. gotta get it tuned up. etc etc...
make the dealers feel like you are gonna have to do a lot of **** to get it up to par. actually go down there with $600.00 cash and tell them you will take it now for $500.00 as is where is! explaining there is a ton of **** you need to do to get it back in driving condition. if you like make them think you gonna order the stuff from them to restore it(just inquire...dont make it part of your deal) like ask them "how much to get the motor from you guys and how much for you guys to do the work on it for me" and say wow at least i can bring it to you guys if i need anything..., then place the money on the desk. they will prolly just give it to you after that...if not, pick up your money and walk out...they will most likely call you back to get it. hehe good luck!
