How hard is it to install new motor mounts on your own? And does anyone know of a good write up on the procedure?

Not hard at all. I took about 25 mins from start to finish, replacing the drivers side mount.

We have a "how-to" for installing our poly mounts here http://www.banzairacing.net/how_to_home.htm
installing the stock mounts is very similar.

I used a jack under the bell housing and then sometimes the tranny to lift the engine up enough to do it.

You could also jack under the oil pan...but I don't know if it would hold...

THe oil pan will hold, engine suppliers sit them on the oil pan for a while. Just make sure to use a piece of wood on top of the jack.
