"Motor Failure" N326 18 941 electrical unit

I was perusing some FC parts on ebay and came across this one I've never seen before. What is it?

funny!

i think it has something to do with the Aux fan that the a/t cars and some turbos had

Wow was stumping me too, after finding a pic of one with the wiring pigtails attached the wiring matches for the "cooling fan control unit"

so it's the control unit for the small electrixccooling fan found infeont of the ac condenser on certain models (turbos and automatics with ac I beleive)
