So I'm back working on my 88 convertible, I think I've gathered enough information to set the tps, idle, timing, and fuel mixture so maybe I can take it for a little drive. Anyone know what this big connector under the dash is? I guess I'm kinda feeling the pain of buying a 400$ car, but every step I make towards getting it on the road has been worth it so far. From reading the fsm, it wouldn't surprise me if the knocking and really rough at wot is from bad plugs/really bad carbon buildup

 

probably cruise control or the p/s computer.
