more ?'s on brake upgrade

more ?'s on brake upgrade
i understand that for the rear brake rotors, they came in 2 flavors - vented and solid. anyone know if you can swap them out?
i've got a 91 n/a with solid rear rotors and i'm looking to put the vented rears (keeping the calipers the same though).
