My 86 RX7 has the power sunroof, and i have to assist the motor by pushing it open and closed. The motor works, but sounds very weak and will only pop the roof up. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Also, I noticed when I have the keys in the ignition and the door open, the key alert beep thing sound very dim and weak. Is it supposed to be very dim and weak? Or should I Try charging the batter some? The lights on the door and dome are bright though. This is my first FC, any help would be appreciated.

The power sunroof gets very shitty over time. It needs to be greased continually, like every other oil change. Get at each individual hinge on the thing.
Also, the power sunroof switch has two ranges. Hit it once and hold it, and it will come up and stop. Then let off the switch and hit it again.
Try helping it open and close with your free hand. Once its open grease the hell out of it.
The door buzzer is crap. Sometimes mine works, sometimes it doesnt, and theres that in between phase where it just sounds weak.
As long as the headlights are bright, the charging system should be good. Slight dimming of the dash lights seem normal, but if they get really dim and the engine dies coming to a stop, the alternator is bad or there are bad grounds. The voltmeter should not move much, either.
