momo hub adapter problem

I installed my momo wheel and hub adapter in my S5 yesterday, and I've found that my turn signals aren't working properly now. It does not click back into position after a turn about 50% of the time now.

I noticed this when I installed the same wheel but a different hub in a different car too, except for that car, only the left turn signal acted like that.

For my car now, it does that for both left and right turns. Did I maybe not connect something properly or securely enough? Anybody know a lot about these hubs?

On the correct momo hub there will be two holes on either side of the center hub hole.

On the car, around the steering column shaft, there will be a ring with two plastic tabs sticking up. They should line up with the holes in the hub.

The tabs must line up with the holes in the steering wheel hub. The turn signal cancel and the steering wheel position sensor for the power steering use those tabs and the ring that they are attached too.

does it matter if the plastic ring is loose? is it supposed to be? I could easily rotate the ring so I thought something may be broken?

I'm pretty sure i had the holes lined up, but i'll check again

It should rotate easily, but not be loose.
